I’m Tove Lesterlin, a French-Swedish freelance dancer and choreographer based in Paris.
My work lives in the space between extremes: stillness and momentum, softness and resistance, intimacy and distance. I’m interested in what happens when movement slows down enough to reveal its hidden tensions, and how the body can communicate through emotion, restraint, or even the absence of both.
After graduating from the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm in 2021, I continued my journey through Antwerp and Valencia, dancing, performing, and creating with artists from different backgrounds and disciplines. These experiences shaped my curiosity for collaboration and expanded my understanding of choreography as something that can exist on stage, on screen, or within an image.
I regularly collaborate with filmmakers and creatives, and photography has become a natural extension of my artistic language. Whether through dance, choreography, film, or photography, I’m drawn to creating atmospheres rather than narratives, spaces where sensations, contrasts, and questions can unfold.
At the heart of my practice is a simple fascination: how bodies hold stories, and how movement can reveal them.
